Richard Charles Carlson 81 passed away February 20^th, 2026, at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma Az with his wife by his side. Richard was born January 23^rd, 1945, to Mary (Roos) Carlson and Carl Carlson in Trenton NJ.  Richard AKA Richie was a 1963 Graduate of Watchung Hills High School in Watchung NJ. After High School he Joined the Air Force where he was Photographer.  He was stationed in Udon Thailand when the Vietnam War broke out.  Richard Married Wanda Mae Rohrer in New Jersey on December 11^th, 1965.  While stationed in Thailand Richard and Wanda would correspond with letters daily.   Once returning from Overseas Richard started working for Johns Mansville Corporation in New Jersey in March of 1972 Johns Mansville moved to Colorado where Richard and Wanda raised their two children.  Richard and Wanda enjoyed traveling, spending time at Jackson Reservoir, and with their friends and family.  In 2017 Richard and Wanda packed their things, sold their house, and moved to Yuma AZ, where they made a new place to call home.  Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years Wanda, Daughter Stacey (Bill) Soper of Chillicothe, Mo Grandsons Nicolas Carlson Englewood, Co and Kaleb (Kynleigh) Carlson Chillicothe, Mo, Great-grandson Zayden Tanner Carlson, Sister-in-Law Barbra Carlson of Gillette NJ, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.  Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Edwin, and Son Stephen.
